Mission Accomplished November 14, 2009Cpl Evan MorganBakersfield, CA
U.S. Marine Evan Morgan was on his second tour of duty in Iraq when a Humvee he was riding in was struck by a roadside bomb. The 23-year-old lost both legs and the sight in his right eye in the explosion. Despite spending more than 15 months in hospitals, Morgan treats life as a precious gift. You can't change the past, he said, so you do what you can with what you've been handed. And the Morgans' are doing just that, they recently welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the world. Homes for Our Troops is proud to have presented this beautiful home to Evan Morgan and his family on November 14, 2009. A home that he can call his own and allow him to move freely. Thank you to everyone who supported this project!
