SGT Darryl Wallace was with the 82nd Airborne stationed in Afghanistan when his life was changed forever. On June 9, 2007 Darryl's truck broke down and he was being towed back to camp when an IED exploded under his truck.
Darryl lost both of his legs, he broke his left arm, sustained a crushed pelvis and suffered a variety of stomach injuries. The 3 other men riding with Darryl were able to escape with minor injuries.
Homes for Our Troops was proud to turn over the keys to this house to the Wallace Family on August 7th, 2009! Thank you to everyone who donated supplies, labor, and money to this project. Without people like you, none of this would've been possible!
