Marine Sergeant Joshua Bouchard was on his second deployment when he lost his left leg and broke his back after his vehicle drove over a pressure plated IED in Helmand Province, Afghanistan on July 8th, 2009. While out on a night mission, Sgt. Bouchard and four other Marines were injured in the blast.
Michael Downing

Army SSG Michael Downing was on his second deployment when he was left a double amputee after an IED explosion in Afghanistan in September 2008. The force of the blast blew SSG Downing from the truck he was in, throwing him into enemy territory, unprotected. Quick action by patrol leaders secured the area, all the while exchanging small arms fire as the medics worked to aid the wounded.
Peter Rooney

Army Sgt. Peter Rooney, is still recovering as an outpatient at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, in Washington. He lost both legs above the knee when the vehicle he was riding in hit a roadside bomb on April 16 in Ramadi, Iraq.
Brian Fountaine

While serving with the First Brigade Combat Team of the Fourth Infantry Division on June 8, of this year, Sergeant Brian Fountaine, a 24-year-old tank commander from Dorchester came under attack which resulted in the loss of both his lower legs. This was Brian's second tour of duty, one that he volunteered for.

Homes for Our Troops purchased a 2 acre parcel of land in Middleboro, MA for wounded Army National Guard member SGT Peter Damon. We then coordinated the entire project start to finish to build this wonderful specially adapted home for Peter and his young family.

On Friday, July 10, 2009, Mark was killed in a car accident in Andover, Massachusetts. To this true American hero, we thank you for your service to our country and for the friendship you brought into our lives. We will never forget you Mark.
