SGT Jason Nielson of Harington, DE was severely wounded while serving in Iraq with the Army. In Baghdad City, Iraq Jason was on security patrol after responding to an RPG attack when a sniper shot him in the side of the body.  He suffered spleen damage, fractured vertibrae, nerve damage from the waist down and many more complications from being shot. 

After realizing the extensive adaptations needed to the Nielson's home and learning about the large mortgage the Nielsons are carrying, the president of Lacrosse Homes of MD and DE, Lindsay Dixon, committed to building the Nielsons a home in their Blueberry Hills subdivision, at little or no cost to Homes For Our Troops!!!
