Volunteer Highlights
Elmer Bean and Sandy Johnson are a huge part of Homes for Our Troops success. The ability to carry out our mission relies on the local community support in the places where we build.
These two retired volunteers travel to places where we need help and are willing to do anything and everything that needs to be done. They have travelled in the RV's to help Homes for Our Troops with projects in Georgia for Joseph Worley and Jeffery Blackmon as well as to Louisiana to help with Kyle Burleson's project.

From demolition and door replacement to painting, coordinating activity on the job site as well as making phone calls and obtaining donations of materials we need for the project, Sandy and Elmer continue to help further our mission of providing handicap accessible homes for our severely wounded veterans.

Elmer and Sandy have provided much needed support at a few of our other home building / adaptation projects across the country as well. They have provided support at Kyle Burleson's home in Springhill, Louisiana and at Jeffrey Blackmon's home in Kinglsand, Georgia. Homes for Our Troops would like to extend a special "THANK YOU" to both of these dedicated volunteers.
