Marine Corps Marathon & 10K in Support of Homes for Our Troops
Last year I ran my first 10K in support of Homes for Our Troops. As I approached the finish line, bordered by the white crosses of Arlington National Cemetery, I was reminded of the many men and women who gave up their lives or forever had their lives altered in support of this country's freedom! Motivated by such a worthy cause and with the support of family, friends and colleagues, I completed the race and met my fundraising goal.
I am truly grateful I am able to participate in this event and give back a little something to the many men and women who have sacrificed so much to protect this country. I hope you will consider supporting my 2nd 10K in Support of Homes for Our Troops.
HFOT has completed more than 100 homes and is hard at work towards their goal of building 100 more! Presently there are 30 homes under construction across the US. These homes will be given to recipients at no cost!
