26.2 Miles for a Worthy Cause

This year I will be running the Marine Corps Marathon in support of Homes For Our Troops. As many of you know, I spent eight years in the Marine Corps Infantry, with one combat deployment to Iraq in 2005. So, I thought it would be fitting that the Marine Corps Marathon would be the marathon to run. Further, a Marine in my company lost an arm and a leg to an I.E.D. while we overseas, and Homes For Our Troops is the organization that provided him with a home adapted to his needs. So, I have seen this charity in action, and it is my honor to be able to run for them at this years Marine Corps Marathon in D.C.

As their mission states, "It is our duty and our honor to assist severely injured Veterans and their immediate families by raising donations of money, building materials and professional labor and to coordinate the process of building a home that provides maximum freedom of movement and the ability to live more independently."

I'm hoping to raise a small amount of money to help this charity continue their great service, and I hope you can help me with that goal.
