TEAM Homes for Our Troops will participate in the "People's Marathon" and 10K on October 28, 2012 taking place in Arlington, VA! This year we have 100 charity bibs and welcome all pre-registered marathoners and 10K participants to join us!
Signing up is as easy as 1, 2, 3...
1. Using the runner icons on the right side of this page, click 'Register as an individual' and then click on the appropriate participation type and follow the prompts. (Pre-registered is for partipants that already registered through the MCM website for the marathon or 10K. Charity participants will use one of the 100 HFOT charity bibs.) Set up your individual fundraising page, set your personal fundraising goal, and create your own personal URL to send to friends and family to begin your fundraising journey and support HFOT's mission!
2. Download, sign and return this waiver. All participants must complete this form. Failure to return this form will result in loss of your team membership.
3. Hit the road and begin training!

You'll want to book your hotel rooms early before the sell out!
Homes for Our Troops has a block of rooms at the DoubleTree Hotel - Crystal City for a rate of $179/night. Click here to book your room now. Rooms under the HFOT block must be booked by September 27th, 2012. The DoubleTree Hotel - Crystal City is also the location of Cheering Brigade for your friends and family to cheer you on! The hotel offers easy access to the start and finish of the MCM.

Other Details: As a TEAM HFOT participant, you will be the web master of your own pre-established, user-friendly donation site, which should make reaching and exceeding your goal very simple. You will easily manage your own donation site, solicit donations online and in person, monitor your donation totals, and send e-mail thank you notes to all of your donors. You will be able to personalize your own donation site with pictures and text. Everything is all set up for you - just register to start the easiest and most gratifying fundraising event you'll ever participate in.
Fundraising Minimums (by Oct. 28, 2012):
Charity Marathon participant - $500
Pre-Registered Marathon Participant - $250
Pre-Registered 10K Participant - $250
(Pre-Registered participants already have obtained their numbers through MCM and should register on the HFOT site under the applicable pre-registered icon to join TEAM HFOT!)
If you are using one of the HFOT charity spot marathon numbers, there is a $92 application fee that is collected when you register on this site. HFOT then sends all registration fees to MCM and will register you online - this does not go toward your fundraising commitment. When registering, please be sure to use an email that you check frequently - almost all communication is done through email. In September you will receive an email from MCM with your confirmation number and e-confirmation card that you bring with you to the MCM Expo to pick up your bib.
